April 2013: How to Sell More Books with Maureen Fisher

Self-published? Thinking of going indie? Seeking ways to promote traditionally published novels? This workshop provides common-sense tips to help sell more books, with particular emphasis on the marketing and promotion of e-books.

The writer’s job doesn’t end when our masterpieces are posted on Amazon or sold to a publisher. Unfortunately, that’s just the beginning. We must then find ways to make readers aware that our books exist, coax them into investigating the contents, then entice them to make the purchase. This workshop provides marketing and promotion tips, including embracing Internet tools (yes, the Internet is our friend) to support a worthy cause–selling more books.

About Maureen Fisher

After a century in the consulting world, Maureen Fisher grew weary of wearing snappy power suits, squeezing into panty hose, and fighting rush hour traffic. Now an Ottawa author, she wonders why it took her so long to follow her dream of becoming a writer. After twenty-one rejections, six tons of chocolate, ninety-seven re-writes, and two first prizes, a small press publishing house bought her first book. Today, she has self-published two romance novels, and is working on her third.
